Easy weight loss tips are good for those who want to lose weight but are unsure how and do not want a complicated process.

Weight loss can be a really tough thing, and it's easy to get discouraged and give up.

It's not always about the number on the scale either-it can be hard to feel good when your clothes don't fit right, or you have no energy.

You will have hard days, and it can be tough to see how far you've come sometimes.

But, there are easy weight loss tips that will keep you motivated and help you continue on this journey with a great attitude.

These are ways of tackling weight loss in a way that feels empowering and positive for your body.

In this blog post, I'm sharing ways to motivate yourself when the going gets tough and easy weight loss tips. I hope these tips help. Hint: there's a mnemonic you'll love as well.

1. Start your day with an affirmation. 

The first thing you see in the morning should be a positive statement that will help start how you want your day.

Write it down and put it somewhere where you will always see it! If this is something new for you, try starting small and keep adding as time goes on.

2. Keep a gratitude journal. 

3. Take care of YOU

Take care of yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

If you are not feeling well in one or more of these areas, how can you expect to live a happier life?

4. Eat Mindfully 

Have healthful food that will help keep your energy up on hand!

It is one of the easy weight loss tips, and it is important to make sure what we eat is good and healthy because if it isn't, how do we expect our bodies to be in good shape?

5. Exercise

It is important to stay active and exercise each day. You could do pilates, meditate, take a walk around the block or even sit up in bed for some light exercises.

The point here is that you are staying active!


6. Be Mindful 

Practice becoming an observer of your thoughts rather than being consumed by them. This is one of the easy weight loss tips that you will have to be deliberate about.

This will allow you to see how destructive they are and how much of an effect they have on your life!

7. Stay Grounded

Pray or meditate for guidance in how to handle difficult situations that arise. We all need help when we don't know what else to do.

8. Visualise

Visualise yourself as the person you want to be: how do you see yourself? how does it feel to be that person?

9. Create a Vision board

Create a vision board and put up pictures of what you want your life to look like. This will help with the visualization.

Cut out images of how you want things to be. This could be on a computer or in an old magazine that is thrown away - make sure it's something tangible!

These will help as visual reminders for how you are working towards achieving our goals and what success looks like.

10. Set goals for yourself

This is important because without them, how else would we know what direction we are going in or how close we are to reaching them?

I have mnemonics to motivate your weight loss journey. Keep this in mind: The best way to stay motivated is by staying focused on how much you have accomplished and ENJOY the process.

That will motivate you when tempted to give up and walk away from the weight loss journey.

It's not about how far you have left to go but how much you've already come through in your weight-loss journey.

When it's about how much you've already done than how much more is left to do, it becomes a lot easier to stay motivated.


E-N-J-O-Y


E for energy:

Getting your sleep, eating healthy foods and exercising will help with this! Energy is needed for everything, and it can be hard to get through the day without it.

On your weight loss journey, you will need to have lots of energy and be in the right mindset to do it.

Energize yourself by not dropping the ball on your healthy habits.

N for nutrition:

This one is probably a no-brainer (pun intended) on this topic of easy weight loss tips. Eating healthy foods will help maintain your weight loss journey by making you feel good about yourself.

If you're not feeling great in how you look, how do you think others will feel?

There are so many diets out there! The best diet is the one that works and helps you keep your sanity while doing it, and makes eating healthily enjoyable.

When I'm feeling bored or want to give up, I have a list of options to help figure out how to keep motivated.

If you're feeling like this, try going on Pinterest or YouTube for some ideas!

If you're struggling with what to eat at any given time, try meal prepping.

It's a great way to cut down how many decisions you have to make during the day, and it will eliminate hunger pains for the most part, too!

I'm going to add a second one for N cos I think it is essential on your weight loss journey. 


N is for negativities:

Stay away from negativity and self-doubt, because they will bring you down!

Focus on how great of a person you are, how much weight you have lost up until this point in time or how many years ago it was that the first thought about losing weight came into your head.

J for joy

It's always good to have a positive attitude. You may be having a hard time losing weight, but how does it make you feel when you're happy about life and how your health is going?

Like with the energy thing (see above), joy can help with everything.

Maintain the feeling of happiness and how this will help you stay motivated on your weight loss journey!

Make sure to enjoy that cupcake (no deprivation), get a massage or have ice cream once in a while.

These things are not bad if done in moderation as long as they do not become something you depend on in order to be happy.


O for optimism:

Sometimes the weight loss journey can be stressful and hard. But how does it make you feel when you're optimistic about life?

Optimism will help keep your spirits high and give you something to look forward to!

Don't give up! I can't emphasize how important it is to not give up on your weight loss journey.

There will be bumps in the road, but how do you think those people who have lost hundreds of pounds feel about their day-to-day lives?

They wouldn't trade a moment! Be optimistic and keep going.

Stay focused on overcoming any obstacle that may come your way and how this will motivate you!

When there are people who bully you or the temptation of a big, delicious meal really strong, try not to focus on how much further until your goal weight but how far you have come.

Keep in mind how much you can change your life for the better by sticking to this journey and how motivated it will make you feel!


J for joy:

It's always good to have a positive attitude.

You may be having a hard time losing weight, but how does it make you feel when you're happy about life and how your health is going? 

Like with the energy thing (see above), joy can help with everything.


Y for yourself:

Why do you want to lose weight? What are your goals? Write them on something always with you, so they're in sight and never out of mind.

Losing weight is hard, but it's also something that can be done with your own determination and focus.

It will take work - both externally and internally - but you will be able to do it if you really want.

Here are 6 easy weight loss tips to take right now!

  1. Change what you eat. It would help if you lowered your caloric intake and worked on healthy eating habits by consuming more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes (beans), nuts and seeds, and high fiber foods like oatmeal or whole wheat bread.
  2. Cut out all processed food from your diet including most fast food.
  3. Exercise more. The easiest way to do this is by adding in a 20 minute walk or jog into your daily routine and also try doing some squats, yoga, pushups, lunges, jumping jacks etc., when you are watching TV at home!
  4. Get enough sleep each night so that your body can repair what it needs to and also so that you have the energy for your workouts.
  5. Be mindful of what triggers weight gain for you. Do certain foods do it? Stress or depression? Or are there specific times like in front of a mirror, looking at pictures from old photos etc.? Write these down on paper along with what they make happen (weight loss or weight gain) and what you can do to combat them.
  6. Reward yourself for every pound lost by buying something that makes you feel energized or good about yourself, whether it be a new shirt or dress from your favourite store, getting a manicure with all the colours of nail polish in the world etc.
